INSTRUCTION
Cobbs Mountain Farm offers lessons for all ages and levels of riders. We provide instruction in basic horsemanship skills and offer lessons and training based on Classical Dressage. New students are taught Balance Seat Equitation where emphasis is placed on developing correct form and posture which ultimately helps the horse to perform better. Students who master a balanced seat are able to move on to other more challenging disciplines with greater ease. When students are ready to progress, they will benefit from the educational opportunities provided by Cobbs Mountain Farms' weekly lesson clinics with dressage instructor, Holly Veloso.
Marie Klimchuk earned her Riding Instructor's license in Massachusetts after successfully completing a yearlong apprenticeship program at Fleetwood Farms. Her knowledge and experience are broad based and include exposure to Hunters, Saddlebreds, Arabians and racing Thoroughbreds. Since settling in Bedford County in 1988 she has pursued an interest in Dressage. Since 1995 she has successfully trained and competed horses through 1st level Dressage. Holly Veloso has successfully completed through 3rd level Dressage, earning her United States Dressage Federation Bronze Medal. In addition to teaching at Cobbs Mountain, she owns and operates Central Manor Farm where she breeds sport horse prospects and trains horses and riders in the art of Classical Dressage.
